Volunteer at GlobalAustin

GlobalAustin is an active, non-profit organization. We rely heavily on board members and volunteers for continued support. What you do not only helps GlobalAustin deliver on its commitment, but proves citizen to citizen diplomacy to be a powerful tool for peace and prosperity. We value the time our volunteers commit and host an awards ceremony (see below) each year to highlight those who have played a critical role in furthering our mission.

If you would like to volunteer, choose an area of interest(s) from our list (or offer your own area of expertise/interest) and fill in the message section. Once you submit your contact information, we will invite you to join our membership if you've not yet done so, and send your contact information the appropriate committee chair.  Thank you!

 

Volunteers:

  • Help with events 

  • Assist in coordinating trivia/scholarship funding night

  • Help strengthen public relations and community outreach

  • Assist with marketing and social media needs

  • Help develop sponsorships and corporate support

  • Write/edit content

  • Help with HTML coding and other website needs

  • Evaluate and/or create graphic templates/materials

VOLUNTEER AWARDS: 

 

Austin is a city filled with talented citizens.  GlobalAustin is lucky to be the beneficiary of such talent. Each year, to recognize those who demonstrate outstanding leadership in international relations, we honor two dedicated Austinites with the following awards.  Please click on the names to read more about the criteria used to award each.  

 

  • The Joe W. Neal Award - A person who has, over many years, demonstrated commitment to fostering international relations

  • The Emerging Leader Award - A person who demonstrates the potential for a lifetime of dedication to fostering international relations
